REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, -- Internal cohesion or intra-religious tolerance, especially in Islam, is the most fundamental thing.

The stability is a key to the national harmony, moreover, before the commencement of 2014 election.

MUI Chaiman for Assessment and Research Committee Utang Ranuwijaya stated, as a country populated with Muslim majority, Indonesia's harmony relied with the attitude of Indonesian Muslims.

Because, in Islam, its well known that the community was bound by solidarities called Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah) internally, followed later national solidarity and fraternity (ukhuwah wathaniyah) and then human solidarity (ukhuwah basyariyah).

"Muslim solidarity became the basis for others."

Ranuwijaya assumed disharmony on Muslim community grassroots often occurred because of differences (khilafiyah) religious schools (mazhab) and other furu'iyah (tertiary) differences.

He considered, there is the issue of poor communication delivered by various related parties at the grass roots about this difference.

So, people at the grass roots often provoked to muddy just because of the difference of perspective. "[The phenomenon] is less identified [by responsible sides]," he said.

Secretary General of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) KH Marsudi Syuhud rated, the loss of consciousness of some Islamic leaders on respecting differences (khilafiyah), led to vulnerability of intolerance before the coming of 2014 political year.

He said the first Indonesia's saints and preachers on teaching religion did it by nurturing peace to the people.

Now, it's often seen when Muslim leaders to preach something in return for political seat or position. The result is conflict. "It's an upside-round," he said.

Later, he added, once upon a time Muslim leaders involved business while encouraged people to understand Islam, but the current political Islamic leaders doing business, but instead blaspheme fellow Muslims, because of khilafiyah.

Therefore, he said, it's important for political figures and leaders among Islamic organizations not to blaspheme other Muslims or each other for the sake of temporary interest.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Prof. Haedar Nasir said the role of religious leaders and religious organizations is important in reducing the conflict, especially towards the politics of 2014.

Religious leaders and religious organizations could be functioned as a reducer of conflict in society. Religious organizations should also participate in promoting peace and inter-religious cooperation.

Haidar believed the best solution to anticipate religious conflicts caused by khilafiyah or creed difference is through the path of dialogue. The dialogue must be in quality consciousness and sincere as well as grassroots effective.

Every problem on religion can not only be solved by purely on legal approach, but also by encouraging every sides for mutual restraint and did not put forward anarchism.
