REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration performed supervisory on outsourcing implementation in companies to abide existing law in Indonesia. The Minister, Muhaiman Iskandar said that the integrated supervisory involved some departments responsible for labor affairs.
“We prioritize the improvement of outsourcing implementation. Yet, government do not afraid to give sanction to companies, which violate the rule,” Iskandar said recently.
Ministry Regulation No. 19/2012 on Terms to Outsource Work to Another Company has been implemented on November 19, 2013. The Ministry has also issued Circular Letter of Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration No. SE.04/MEN/2013.
Muhaimin added that government increased the labor supervisory in aspect of coaching and in context of law enforcement. Outsourcing companies and companies outsourcing services must follow labor regulation. Company must ensure welfare of workers. Companies must also ensure continuity of work and guarantee, the rights of workers.
