Pertamina subsidiary signs a trustee agreement

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas company, PT Pertamina signed a trustee agreement among PHE Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ), Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).

Director of PHE ONWJ, Kunto Wibisono explained that it was a purchase agreement between Production Sharing Contract (PSC) ONWJ and Pertamina for CNG transport. It has been signed on September 5, 2013. Sales of 4,000 MMBTU of gas per day from ONWJ gas field will be streamed through Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF) in Cimalaya. It will begin on December, 2013 to January 18, 2017. 

PSC ONWJ and SKK Migas has appointed BNI as trustee and paying agent. It is the first agreement for the sale of domestic gas project in Indonesia using a national bank with trust scheme. 

Wibisono said that the signing of agreement also showed a trust to national bank as trustee and paying agent. He hopes the same agreement will be followed by other companies in the country.
