REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR - Local government of Bogor regency plans to tear down 200 illegal buildings in hilly resort area of Puncak, West Java. It will begin this week until December 2013.

Head of Cisarua subdistrict, Teddy Pembang said that there were 250 out of 650 illegal buildings in Puncak. However, only 250 buildings become target of removal until next year. Last week, local officers have sealed 51 buildings in village of Tugu Utara, Tugu Selatan, Cibeureum, Kopo and Citeko.

All illegal buildings are established on state land and do not have permit letter. Pembang denied disclosing any buildings owned by former officials or state official. He also refused to mention any names.

Civil Service Police Unit Bogor regency will only escort and collect data in execution process. The illegal buildings are including villas owned by state officials.

"There is no intimidation related to the removal of illegal buildings," Pembang said recently.

He has asked for moral support from Minister of Forestry, Zulkifli Hasan to curb illegal buildings when the Minister visited Safari Park some time ago. However, there has been no sign of support coming. Government of Bogor regency commits to remove the illegal buildings with or without the help of Jakarta city government, which accused that Puncak area caused flood to Jakarta.

Jakarta city government previously promised to help funds of 2.1 billion IDR for the program. Head of Civil Service Police Unit Bogor Regency Dace Supriya said that the removal would be conducted at least three times a week untuk December 2013. He asked Jakarta governor to be consistent if he wanted to help.
