REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia secured its place in Final of China Open Super Series Premier 2013 through Tantowi Ahmad and Natsir Liliyana pair. Both badminton players beat Korean pair, Kim Ki Jung and Kim So Young in the first 26 minutes with scores of 21-9 and 21-11 at Yuan Shen Gymnasium, Shanghai on Saturday.
Indonesian Coach, Nova Widianto said that Kim So Young had already scared of Liliyana's front game. It made the Korean pair just defends without lethal attacks. Tantowi and Liliyana also get benefit with resignation of their nemesis, Xu Chen and Ma Jin.
"Probably because Kim So Young confused with Liliyana in front of net," Widianto said recently.
In the final, Tantowi and Liliyana will be challenged by Joachim Fisher and Christinna Pedersen. The Danish players won the final ticket easily as their opponents, Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei withdrew from the championship. Fisher and Pedersen also three times won over Tantowi and Liliyana.
Tantowi and Liliyana is the only representative of Indonesia in the last premiere championship this year. Men's single player, Sony Dwi Kuncoro must end his journey in semifinals after recognizing the excellence of Malaysian players, Wei Feng Chong.
