REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- National Instruments (NI) and the PoliteknikNegeri Jakarta (PNJ) have entered a strategic collaboration to set up the first LabVIEW Academy in Indonesia.
"We are delighted to partner with National Instruments in enhancing the learning and research at PNJ," Director of PNJ Abdillah said in a press statement received from NI on Thursday.
The partnership was formalised with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing on Wednesday.
A first for NI in Indonesia, the LabVIEW Academy at PNJ is an authorized centre providing classroom curricula and hands-on exercises to train students and researchers on NI LabVIEW system design software.
"Our students will definitely benefit from the trainings that the LabVIEW Academy will offer, giving them a competitive edge when they graduate and advance in their chosen engineering careers," Abdillah added.
Southeast Asia's largest economy, Indonesia is heavily dependent on growth from industries such as mining and large-scale manufacturing, which require highly-skilled engineers and technical specialists.
"The objective of the LabVIEW Academy at Politeknik Negeri Jakarta is to help develop capable, industry-ready future engineers. We look forward to a successful collaboration with PNJ," said GohYih-Hsiung, ASEAN Sales Manager of National Instruments.
Since the opening of its office in Jakarta in December 2011, NI has been expanding its presence in Indonesia, supporting customers and partners across industries from automotive to manufacturing to academia.
In conjunction with the MoU Signing at PNJ, National Instruments is also holding its Graphical System Design Summit 2013 in Jakarta. The latest products and solutions to accelerate innovation, discovery and productivity will be featured in a full day conference for scientists, engineers and educators.
