REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State owned bank company, PT Bank Mandiri keen to acquire PT Asuransi Jiwa Inhealth Indonesia (Inhealth). President Director of Bank Mandiri, Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that Inhealth had the best payment networks for healthcare industry.

"Hospitals, doctors, pharmacies, drug stores have payment networks, which are served by Inhealth" Sadikin said on Tuesday.

Sadikin hopes the acquisition process can be synergized with company's business plan. Bank Mandiri is expected to be a transaction bank serving industrial transactions. However, Sadikin has not been able to provide complete information on shares to be acquired.

"We cannot give any comments right now. It is still very early," Sadikin added.

Director of Finance in Bank Mandiri, Pahala N Mansury said that the company waited for formal process. Bank Mandiri does not specify the target and does not provide additional fund for this acquisition. However, the biggest bank company in Indonesia has allocated fund to Bank Indonesia (BI) for the process.

The fund was part of company's organic growth. Bank Mandiri targeted to have two insurers as inorganic growth program this year.
