REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Secretary General of Indonesia Democratic Party-Struggle (PDIP), Tjahjo Kumolo said, he has not yet know who will be presidential candidate according to the decision of party's leader Megawati Sukarnoputri.
According to him, a number of analyses concerning the format Joko Widodo (Jokowi) -Megawati (Mega) as president and vice president candidates are not derived from the party's leadership.
"If there is a statement said that Mega has approved A or B candidacy, I as secretary general did not know," he said when contacted by Republika on Monday (11/11).
Kumolo said the decision to nominate president and vice-presidential candidate is still too early to be delivered to the public.
Moreover, he added, the party is still concentrating to win legislative election in 2014, with a target of at least 27 percent of total votes.
PDIP, he said, still watching the variety of political dynamics in the country.
In that context he believed Megawati would consider carefully who will be the couple suitable for nomination.
"I think the Chairman will not be hasty [to decide]," he said.
