REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Husband of Banten Governor, Ratu Atut Chosiyah, Hikmat Tomet died on Saturday (9/11) at 15.15 pm. The deceased died at the Army's Gatot Subroto Central Hospital, Jakarta.
Family spokesman, Fitron Nur Ikhan said Tomet suffered a stroke and was hospitalized in the past month.
"We have not discussed the funeral, but the body will be taken to a private residence in Jalan Bhayangkara No. 51, Cipocok, Serang," he said, Saturday afternoon.
Tomet is a member of Commission V of the House of Representatives 2009-2014. He became Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) I Golkar Party of Banten Province 2009-2014.
Aside from being a member of Golkar faction in Parliament, Tomet also plans to run again in the upcoming 2014 election as a candidate in the Electoral Banten II from the Golkar Party.
Currently the family is gathered and the body will be washed.
