REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono reaffirmed that tapping action could harm relationship between countries. He hopes the same case will not happen in future.
"He hopes the same case will not happen and no more tapping action in future," Presidential spokesman, Julian Aldrin Pasha said on Wednesday.
It is related to foreign media reports that refer to Embassy of United States and Australia in Jakarta which were equipped with wiretapping devices. President said that the tapping action was unacceptable in countries' friendship based on trust.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marty Natalegawa has submitted a protest to relevant countries. Both ambassadors have also been called by President. Representatives of these countries have provided clarifications but it did not specifically deny or justify the tapping action.
