Total E&P Indonesie starts an offshore project in Mahakam block

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Mahakam block operator, Total E&P Indonesie, starts offshore project in Mahakam block, called Sisi Nubi 2B - Peciko 7B. Operator has put three new wells platforms at Peciko field, including three interconnecting pipelines along 18 miles that would connect three existing production platforms in each field.

Head Department of Media Relations in Total E&P Indonesie, Kristanto Hartadi said that all those fields located in offshore block of Mahakam. 

Project Manager of Sisi Nubi 2B-Peciko 7B, Jarot Wahyudianto estimated that offshore work would last for several months, involving more than 1,200 workers and 42 ships of various types. 

"Although this project involves lots of people and equipments, we will remain focus on safety during offshore operations take place," Wahyudianto said recently.

Overall cost of Sisi Nubi 2B - Peciko 7B reached two billion USD. The investment in Mahakamn block comes from Total E&P Indonesie and Inpex Coorporation from Japan.
