PT Pos Indonesia ambitious to be the best in SE Asia

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - State owned portal service company in Indonesia, PT Pos Indonesia, is ambitious to have the best business performance in Southeast Asia. President Director of Pos Indonesia, Budi Setiawan said in terms of profit and revenue in 2013, company was ranked third after Malaysia and Singapore with a profit of 325 billion IDR.

To realize its target, PT Pos Indonesia continues to develop four business lines, namely mail, logistics, retail and financial services. Among others, the company plans to launch new post card.

The new post card can be used for various kinds of services including for money transfer, utility bill and phone payments. The post card uses similar chip with bank card and can be used in all PT Pos Indonesia’s offices across country. 

"This card will be launched  in January 2014," Setiawan said currently.

The new post card can be used for e-commerce transactions, as well as ATM banking transactions. Currently, there are about 14 million transactions per day in Pos Indonesia, including bill payment for electricity, water, telephone, installment of motorcycles and taking pension money.
