Singapore Airlines adds flight to Surabaya

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA - Singapore Airlines increases flights in Indonesia from July 2013. The airline serves daily flights, from Singapore  to Surabaya and increases its flight frequencies to Jakarta and Bali.

"Singapore Airlines takes over one of two flights to Surabaya previously served by SilkAir. An Airbus A330 with capacity of 285 seats operates to support this flight," Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning in Singapore Airlines, Lee Wen Feng said on Saturday.

Singapore Airlines currently serves 56 times weekly flights to Jakarta and 21 times to Denpasar. Meanwhile, SilkAir operates 60 times a flight to nine destinations in Indonesia and will add two more to Semarang (Central Java) and Makassar (South Sulawesi).

Lee mentions Indonesia as one of most important markets of Singapore Airlines Group. With the new flight service, customers will have diverse of flight selections. 

Executive Vice President of Commercial Flight in Singapore Airlines, Mak Swee Wah added the company also introduced new payment option through KrisFlyer program. A passenger can use this facility if he has flew minimum 5000 miles of distance.
