REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Chairman of Indonesian Chief Editor Forum, Wahyu Muryadi, said it will provide 5,000 scholarships to children of Indonesian reporters. He said that in the opening of Indonesian Chief Editor Summit in Nusa Dua, Bali on Thursday and Friday.
"The scholarships are intended to improve quality of life of media persons, especially their children. They will come from a number of sponsors and it is the first batch," Muryadi said on Thursday.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono with eight ministers and a number of corporate leaders are also attending the event. The eight ministers who will as speakers are State-Owned Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, Governor of Bank Indonesia Agus Martowardojo, Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Muliaman D Hadad, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik, Minister of Public Works Djoko Kirmanto, as well as Minister of Communications and Information Tifatul Sembiring. Dozens of world leaders and business leaders are also attending the event.
Ketua Forum Pemred Wahyu Muryadi berbicara saat mengelar konfrensi pers di Jakarta, Selasa (4/6). Pertemuan puncak para pemimpin redaksi Se-Indonesia akan dilaksanakan pada 13-14 Juni 2013 di Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre (BNDCC) yang rencananya dihadiri Presiden RI Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
