Three state-owned companies to utilize idle land

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GRESIK - Three state-owned companies will collaborate on idle land utilizing projects. Those three companies work in plantation sector (PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) X), cement production (PT Semen Indonesia) and postal service (PT Pos Indonesia). 

PTPN X will utilize an area of 199 hectares which owned by Semen Indonesia in Bangkalan regency, Madura. The state-owned plantation company wants to develop investment and cultivation of sugar cane.

"In addition, land in Madura is very important to support food security, especially in national sugar production. In last two years, PTPN X has developed the cultivation of sugar cane in Madura," President Directo of PTPN X, Subiyono said on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Semen Indonesia and Pos Indonesia will cooperate in terms of service delivery of letters, documents and goods. President Director of Semen Indonesia, Dwi Soetjipto said the interest of mail delivery services and documents belonging to Semen Indonesia Group will be handled by Pos Indonesia. Semen Indonesia also invited Pos Indonesia to cooperate in marketing through a distribution networks as the cost of shipping logistics of Semen Indonesia reached 1.5 trillion IDR per year.
