REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Government and member of parliaments (MPs) learned abou housing management from Singapore's Housing and Development Board (HDB). 

"We learned from institutional and fund management system in Singapore," said Umar on Sunday.

Head of Committee of Housing and Development Board at the parliament, Yoseph Umar, said that Indonesia could learn about housing issue including in providing housing for low income people.

Umar said government still needed about 15 millions of housing units to meet the demand for low income families and government needed some regulations on funding. He said, Indonesia needed to learn from HDB since the agency was authorized to handle issues including ownership and house building issues.
