REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - Head of Departement of Immigration at Ngurah Rai in Bali, Yudanus Dekiwanto, said at least 44 tourists have been deported in 2012.

"Most of them have job related cases in Bali. They work here by using short stay visa, then they are mostly overstayed," he said on Tuesday.

Many foreign tourists violated the residence permits and work permits and their deadline passed. Dekiwanto explained that nine of 44 tourists who were deported came from Australia, seven people from Iran and five others from Germany. The rest came from Nepal, the United States, Japan, Eritrea, the United Kingdom and India.
