Vietnam wants to buy Indonesian CN-295

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Minister of Defense of Vietnam, General Phung Quang Thanh said Vietnam would purchase CN 295, Indonesian-made aircraft. The type of aircraft is made by state-owned aircraft company, PT Dirgantara Indonesia and the product meets the demands by Vietnam.

The minister also plans to send Vietnam Air Force delegation to Indonesia. "The team will come to learn Indonesian aviation industry and asked anything more detail about CN-295," he said on Tuesday.

Earlier, Indonesian Vice Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin visited Vietnam accompanied by President Director of Dirgantara Indonesia, John Smith and a number of officials. They travelled to six countries of ASEAN for three days to introduce CN-295. PT Dirgantara Indonesian also arranged 'Joy Flight' for about 45 minutes to demonstrate CN-295 capability.
