Pertamina targets 243,920 bpd production this year

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State oil and gas company, PT Pertamina, targets to produce 243,920 barrel per day (bpd) oil in 2013, an increase by 24.4 percent from 2012. Pertamina subsidiary, PT Pertamina EP, will contribute to 137,200 bph, while PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) will produce 76,000 bph. Meanwhile, PT Pertamina EP Cepu will contribute to 10,800 bph and the rest is from the production of merger and acquisition.

"We are optimistic to reach the target," Executive Director of Pertamina, Karen Agustiawan, said on Monday.

For gas production, Pertamina sets production target equivalent to 1,691 million metric standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). Pertamina EP is expected to contribute to 1,160 MMSCFD while PHE is 531 MMSCFD.

"Thus, the total of oil and gas production target in 2012 is 500,000 barrels equivalent to oil. Pertamina oil and gas production in 2012 was 461,640 barrels equivalent to oil," she said.

She also mentioned that Pertamina set target of net income in 3.05 billion USD in 2013, with the income in the amount of 65.2 billion USD. "2013 net income is higher than that of 2012, which was 2.76 billion USD," she said.
