PAN to expel Wanda Hamidah if found guilty

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - National Mandate Party (PAN) will expel its member, Wanda Hamidah, if she is guilty using drugs. Wanda Hamidah is among 17 people who are arrested during National Narcotics Agency (BNN) raid at the house of a TV presenter, Raffi Ahmad, on Sunday morning.

"If the test comes out positive, we will expel her immediately," Deputy Chairman of DPP PAN, Drajat Wibowo, said on Sunday.

However, if the test comes back negative, Wanda will still get sanction. Wibowo said PAN did not tolerance those who used drugs.

Meanwhile, Raffi Ahmad is earlier reported that he will register as a legislative candidate of PAN. Secretary General of PAN, Taufik Kurniawan, said he had not officially registered.

"He showed his interest towards this party's vision and mission," Kurniawan said who also praise young generation who interested on politic. Yet, the party will not open its door for those involved in drug case.
