REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, UNGARAN - Vaccine for poultry against avian influenza (H5N1) clade 2.3.2.1 will be produced massively following the finding of master seed of the vaccine. The vaccine will be available in market as early as February.

"It needs at least 35 days to multiply the new vaccine," Director General of Animal Health and Breeding at the Ministry of Agriculture, Syukur Iwantoro, said on Sunday.

Iwantoro explained that experts had found the master seed for the vaccine with code name I-B. His meeting with vaccine manufacturers in Indonesia results that they will distribute the vaccine as soon as possible.

However, he still requires every breeder to conduct biosecurity, depopulation, monitoring the trade, and cleaning the cage before the breeders get the vaccine.
