REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Foreign investors are predicted to dominate investment in Indonesia in 2013. They would dominate 75 to 80 percent of the total investment in Indonesia, Chairman of Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Chatib Basri, said.

"The current Domestic Capital Investment (PMDN) is only 22 percent. Indonesians have to invest more," Basri said on Wednesday. He expects PMDN to increase by 25 percent next year.

Basri encouraged banking to help providing credit to increase domestic investment. He finds that the demand for geothermal and consumption goods investment is increasing. "Recently, there is a surge in investment on cement industry," he said.

Investment value in 2013 is expected to reach 30 trillion IDR. By the end of 2012, the investment will reach 310 trillion IDR.
