PUIC delegations visit a religious complex in Bali

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, NUSA DUA - Delegations from 17 countries of Parliamentary Union of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Member States (PUIC) visited religious complex Puja Mandala, Bali, on Friday on the sidelines of Parliamentary Event on Interfaith Dialog.

"This complex is a symbol of religious tolerance and cultural diversity in Bali," the Speaker of Indonesian House of Representatives, Marzuki Alie, said on Friday.

Puja Mandala is a home to five places of worship, namely Budhina Guna Buddhist Temple, Jagat Natha Hindu Temple, Bunda Maria Segala Bangsa Catholic Church, Bukit Doa Protestant Church and Ibnu Batutah Islamic Mosque. 

"I believe Puja Mandala can inspire harmonization throughout the world," he added.

Pastor of Catholic Church, Evensius Dewantoro, said problems between religions sometimes sparked. But it never flares as they always discuss it to find solution.
