REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - Africa becomes the target market of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PT DI), considering that the continent will need many new aircrafts in the next 20 years. The company claims its products are well known in Africa.

"Africa is an open market for PT DI, whether for aircraft business, aircraft maintenance, or other aviation business," the staff of Communication Division at PT DI, Windu Nugroho, said on Friday.

PT DI has entered African market since 2007, with CN235 as its main product. The company also gave a unit of CN235 to Burkina Faso and another one for Senegal. According to a leading aviation magazine, Aviation Week, Africa needs 770 aircrafts in 2011.
