REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - About 27 Taiwan companies working in food, cosmetic, and franchise industries are seeking distributors in Indonesia. A coffee company, Ecoffee, which has 300 outlets in Taiwan, is one of them.

"We are opening business forum to find distributor who is interested to sell Taiwanese products," Director of Taiwan Trade Center in Jakarta, Tony K.L Lin, said on Thursday.

Taiwan is interested with Indonesian market because the majority of Indonesian population is young people. In Taiwan, Tony said, the number of young people in Taiwan was decreasing, thus the demand for cosmetic and food was also declining.

The Taiwan companies have promoted six franchises to Indonesia. He expects Indonesians welcome the products. Indonesia with its economic growth, he said, was a target to develop business.
