Indonesia offers 23 oil and gas blocks to Russian investors

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LONDON - Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources offers 23 new blocks of oil and gas to Russian investors in Russian Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition in Moscow on October 16-18.

State institutions, companies, and research institutions in gas and oil sector attend the exhibition. Senior official at the Ministry, Dwi Adi Nugroho, said the participation was aimed to inform the investors on investment opportunities of oil and gas in Indonesia. The participation is also aimed to seek foreign investors in oil industry.

"Indonesia presents 23 new oil and gas blocks through second upstream bidding round for 2012. The blocks have interesting terms and conditions with the scheme of Production Sharing Contract (PSC)," Nugroho said.

The locations of new blocks are West Asri, Merangin III, Bimasakti, Central Mahakam, Sangau, Menduwai, Kahayan, North East Sepanjang, Offshore North X-Ray, Seringapatam I and II, West Tuna, Wanapiri and West Misool.
