Indonesia-Singapore exploring cooperation in communication

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA - The governments of Indonesia and Singapore adjust their perception to face problems and development of the future communication and information. Secretary General of the Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Basuki Yusuf Iskandar, said after the opening of the Third Information and Communication Joint Committee Meeting between Indonesia and Singapore that the similar perception was important.

The effort to adjust the perception is to hold routine meeting and cooperation of both countries. "The meeting and the cooperation are to implement our plan to share new ideas in communication and information," he said.

The aim of the cooperation is also to set the frequency and platform of each country. "Indonesia and Singapore build the cooperation to anticipate and prevent inharmoniousness in the sector," he said.

The meeting is also to evaluate the implementation of the previous agreement and to share new ideas in communication and information. Singapore`s Permanent Secretary for Information, Communications and the Arts, Chan Yeng Kit, said the meeting was a platform for both countries to cooperate in communication and information and promote cooperation in education, training, and exchange of skills in term of communication.
