REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Presidential Decree on the development of electric and hybrid green cars would be issued this year, said Minister of Industry MS Hidayat. "We hope it can be issued within a month," he said on Wednesday after cabinet meeting on the development of green car in Presidential Office.

The Presidential Decree, containing research and development of industry, was being discussed by related parties from government, academic institution, national economic committee, and industry. 

"My part of the job in the Ministry of Industry is to implement the industrial process, whether the research can be implemented or not," he said.

Meanwhile, the offering from SBY to his Korean counterpart, President Lee Myung Bak to cooperate on the development of green car has not reached any development yet. "It has not been set. We will consider the next step, whether it will be in the form of B to B or not," Hidayat said.
