REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BEIJING - About 30 participants of Regular Education of National Defense Institute (Lemhanas) conduct comparative study in military and defense development to China. They also visited China defense industries, China Electronics technology Group Corporation (CETC) and China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO) on Monday.

Defense Attache of Indonesian Embassy to China and Mongolia, Col Surya Margono, said the China military and defense grew rapidly, including its defense industry. He explained that CETC had cooperated with Indonesian Ministry of Defense and National Army on Fast Ship Missile Program. "We also cooperate with NORINCO," he said.

The participants also learned education program provided by China Defense University. "By learning the program, they will understand fully how China develops its defense and military system," he said. Apart from military and defense, Lemhanas also studied social issues in China. 

"These participants will be Indonesian future leader. They must understand how to manage and develop the social potency for sustainable development," he said.
