REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) concerns over long standing Syrian conflict. "What happen in Syria is worrying. I follow it. The number of casualty is mounting, while solutions from Kofi Annan and UN Security Council are still vague," SBY said on Thursday.

He assessed that until the 16th month, there was no sign that the internal conflict would stop. "I have sent my recommendation to the UN," he said.

SBY hopes the countries with veto power can soon find the solution to prevent more casualties. He also emphasized that the settlement of Syrian conflict was the moral responsibility of every country.
