REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LOS CABOS - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) claimed, many states expected Indonesian to take part in various international forums including G-20." The world is expecting our role," SBY said on his plane to G-20 forum in Mexico on Sunday.

To actively engage in solving global problems, SBY said, Indonesia must maintain conducive environment. "We must maintain what I call 'positive growth," he added.

The strong and sustainable economy is the characteristic of G-20 members. But, the president said Indonesia should contain another characteristic, as he called it “inclusive economy”.

SBY expects Indonesian to preserve the cooperation with other members of G-20, APEC, East Asia Summit, and others as it can warn Indonesia if the interference of global economy happens. The world, he continued, saw ASEAN including Indonesia as a prospective region.

"Don't take it for granted. With today’s global condition, we still get the investment opportunity, trade, and connectivity. It can also strengthen our domestic market," he said.

He said that Indonesia would strengthen the importance of maintaining food security, inclusive growth, and social justice in the world.
