Indonesia promotes batik in Japan

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia promoted batiks, traditional clothes, jewelery, handicrafts and some others in its participation in the Global Green exhibition in Shizuoka, Japan on May 16 through 23, the trade ministry in its statement said. Some participants representing Indonesia in the Global Green Exhibition are Batik Enny, Batik Halus Tiana Kesuma, Bixa Orellana Collection, Chalon Co. Ltd Katsuhisa Ozeki and Aulia Jewellery.

The Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Osaka had facilitated the country`s trade exhibition. The ITPC Osaka chapter also engaged cooperation with the Garuda Indonesian Airways in an effort to help promote the Garuda Indonesia`s flight especially the new route that connects Japan`s Haneda and Indonesia`s Denpasar.
