REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Jakarta Provincial Government will hold 10 K Jakarta International Marathon to celebrate the 485th Jakarta anniversary. Held by Youth and Sport Department, this ninth event will use 'Green Energy for Jakarta' theme. This was the only street marathon in Indonesia which had the official certificate from Association of Athletic Federation (IAAF), the Head of Jakarta Youth and Sport Department, Ratiyono, said. About 35,000 runners including students, scholars, police, and army will involve on the event.
Around 15 international professional runners, such as Pisu Maiyo, Partick Kimell dan Peninah Arusei will also join the event with 20 Indonesian professional runners. The game will start from Silang Monas Barat Daya-Jalan MH Thamrin-Bundaran HI-Jalan Jenderal Soedirman, then take a U turn in the front of eX and to Semanggi-Jalan Jenderal Soedirman-Bundaran HI-Jalan MH Thamrin and finish di Silang Monas Barat Daya.
