Indonesia opens the 14th Inacraft

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The annual Indonesia Inacraft is held for the 14th times in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). The event opens on April 25-29. This year’s theme is ‘From Small Village to Global Market’ as the art from West Kalimantan becomes the icon of the exhibition.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) yesterday opened the exhibition. He said in his speech that he praises the small and medium enterprises (SME) and dubbed them as the heroes of Indonesian economy.

“I am glad to meet again with the craftsmen who are generally from small and medium enterprises. They are our heroes,” SBY said on Wednesday.

SBY also came to the exhibition to buy the products. “Buying is the most important thing,” he said.

He said there were several things that should be managed well since it contributed to the condition of economy. One of the examples is the quality of the products that must be improved. He also mentioned the importance of accessible capital and well management. 

SBY also recommended that promotion and marketing should be conducted effectively without abandoning the importance of branding and intellectual property rights. The products should environmental friendly as well.
