REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - Bali got 4.02 million USD of foreign exchange from the shipment of 1.61 million units of earthenware in 2011. The Head of Public Relation Bureau in Bali, I Ketut Teneng said on Saturday that the foreign exchange from the shipment of this terracotta craft had decreased in 44.17 percent.
He said the shipment to international market in previous year reached 7.20 million USD from 2.71 million units. Slack international market as an impact from global economic crisis was responsible for the decrease. Ketut Teneng added, earthenware was one of 17 Balinese crafts that could reach international market.
