BI designs computerization of index model for real sector

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Bank Indonesia (BI) is designing an index model of mutual profit for real sectors. The index will be as a reference for yield in Islamic financing and enlisted by computerization to allow it for renewed.

“The index model computerization of mutual profit for real sector will use the information from public and non public company. If we apply this program, the index can be automatically updated every day,” the Director of Directorate of Islamic Banking at Bank Indonesia (BI), Mulya E Siregar, said.

The index should be updated every day to fit the latest condition of each sector. “But, whether it will be updated every day depend on the situation. Some sectors may not need daily updated,” he said.
