REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR – The bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Singapore has changed in a matter of two years, the Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong said on Tuesday in his meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Bogor Palace. Lee has discussed the change between both countries since two years ago.

“We can see the advantage and cooperation from both countries,” he said without elaborated. Global change, he said, also affected the situation in Southeast Asia. He noted Indonesia and Singapore should prepare themselves and build the strength domestically and internationally.

Meanwhile, SBY hopes the bilateral meeting with Loong could increase the cooperation. “I hope the Bogor meeting can increase international relationship,” he said in Bogor Palace.

It was the second meeting after Indonesia visited Singapore. SBY hopes the meeting can become a new bridge for the partnership. “The cooperation has strengthened in the recent years. With Indonesian development, we can use it as future capital,” he said.
