Caldwell, happy and fascinating at JJF

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Bobby Caldwell fascinated the audience at Java Jazz Festival (JJF) 2012 Jakarta. It was not the first time this American-born singer entertained his fans at Java Jazz Festival. Caldwell admitted that he was happy to perform in Java Jazz –dubbed as the biggest festival in the world by Museum of Indonesian Record (MURI).

"I'm happy I can sing again in Indonesia and meet my best friends. I hope you enjoy my music," he said in the middle of his performance on Firday night. Wearing a black suit, he successfully fascinated his fans.

Bobby Caldwell Big Band Project played several hits, such as 'Come Rain or Come Shine', 'What You Won't Do For Love', 'Yellow Days', and 'Devil Moon'.

An Indonesian guitarist, Dewa Budjana and Friends, also performed as the opening act in JJF 2012 in Semeru Garuda Indonesia Hall. His excellent instrumental music brought solemnity among the audience.

To complete his act, Budjana brings Saad, the flute player and Jalu, the gamelan player. Budjana tranquilized the audience in epic traditional nuance. His second song, On the Way Home, his solo performance proved his sophisticatedly mastering guitar playing.
