REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA-- Toyota Manufacturing Corporation (TMC) will increase its investment in Indonesia by 1.3 trillion IDR. This is an increase from the earlier commitment made last September that TMC would invest 2.8 trillion IDR.

“This investment will increase the total number of product in Indonesia to 230 thousand units annually,” President Director of Pt Toyota Astra Motor Johnny Darmawan said on Tuesday.

Before the new investment, TMC production in Indonesia was around 110 thousand units annually. TMC expects, the investment of 2.8 trillion IDR will hike to 180 thousand units by early 2013. After pouring 1.3 trillion IDR, the total production is expected to jump to 230 thousand units by the end of 2013.
