REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and his wife, Fery Farhati, visited the wife of sixth Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), Ani Yudhoyono, who was being treated at Singapore's National University Hospital on Friday. On arrival at the hospital where Ani was treated in the video, SBY welcomed Baswedan and hugged him and greeted Fery.

The trio were then seen chatting in a closed room. Earlier, SBY revealed that his wife Ani was undergoing treatment for blood cancer at the Singapore National University Hospital, since Saturday (Feb 2).

"With concern, I convey to the friends in the country that Ms Ani is suffering from blood cancer," SBY noted in a video press conference in Singapore.

SBY said that he was currently in Singapore to accompany Ani in medicine and health care. Since February 2, 2019, he said Ani had undergone "medical treatment" and care at Singapore's National University Hospital on the recommendation of the Indonesian presidential doctors' team.

"On behalf of Ms Ani and SBY's extended family, I request prayers from friends, so that Allah SWT, the Almighty God, with destiny and power, provides healing to his beloved wife Ms. Ani, or Kristiani Herawati bint Sarwo Edhie Wibowo, so Ms Ani can return to conducting daily activities in the country," SBY noted.
