REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Wiranto received representatives of the second rally to defend tawheed (Laa Ilaha Ilallah, the oneness of God) at the ministry office in Central Jakarta, Friday (Nov 2). There were 10 people became representatives and met Wiranto at 14.45 WIB (Indonesia West Standard Time).
The 10 representatives of tawheed defense rally II are Chairman of Alumni 212 Slamet Maarif, ustaz Asep Syarifudin, Habib Hanif Alatas, ustazah Nurdiati Akma. In addition, there are Kiai Raud Bahar, ustaz Awit Masyuri, ustaz Maman S, ustaz Al Khaththath, Egi Sujana, and Kiai Nasir Zein.
Earlier, Central Jakarta District Police chief, Roma Hutajulu said Presidential Staff Office (KSP) will meet representatives of tawheed defense rally II at Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs building. Dozens of police officers have been deployed to guard the rally, which centered in front of Sapta Pesona building, Ministry of Tourism.

Based on Republika.co.id monitoring, the mass of tawheed defense rally II slowly began to disperse at 15.30 WIB. A number of participants also performed Ashar prayer in congregation on the streets or park in front of Horse Statue.
Thousands of people staging a rally on Defend Tawheed 211 thronged the road around the National Monument (Monas) horse statue towards Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta, Friday (Nov 2).
Initially, the rally was planned to be held started from Istiqlal Mossque to State Palace. However, police used barbed wire right on Medan Merdeka Barat Street, so that all participants were concentrated at Horse Statue area.
Earlier, Wiranto said the rally to defend tawheed was no longer needed. Moreover, the case of flag burning incident in Garut, West Java, has been well-handled by the police.
"Is it necessary? Too bad if they have to rally to demand something that has already been done," he said at Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, on Friday.
Wiranto said the perpetrator of flag burning case have apologized. They also have been named as suspects.
