REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- Tourism site in TripAdvisor network has named Bali as the world's best travel destination in 2017 (ranked first) based on the selection of foreign tourists.
"This award actually belongs to the whole people of Bali as the world's best destinations," according to chairman of the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI) of Bali chapter, Ida Bagus Agung Partha Adnyana here on Wednesday.
Bali Island has often been at the top in the category of the World's Best Island or Best Destinations in Asia, he explained.
However, this time is considered to be very special appreciation for Bali as the World's Best Destinations.
On the TripAdvisor page, Bali ranks first as the world's best destinations among 25 tourist destinations.
London is at the second rank and followed by Paris, Rome, New York City, Crete in Greece, Barcelona, Siem Reap in Cambodia, Prague, and Phuket Thailand.
At the 11th rank is Istanbul, then followed by Jamaica, Hoi An Vietnam, St Petersburg in Russia, Roatan Bay Islands, Marrakech in Morocco, Ambergris Caye Belize, Rio de Janeiro, St Maarten, Playa del Carmen in Mexico, Dubai, Grand Cayman, Kathmandu, Bora-Bora and Cusco in Peru.
