REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PURWOREJO -- Workers of a joint rescue team on Tuesday found four more bodies of landslide victims in Purworejo District, Central Java.

Hundreds of workers of the joint rescue team on Tuesday morning combed several locations in search for victims buried in the landslide.

The rescue team deployed police sniffer dogs and managed to find four more bodies.

The joint rescue team, comprising military and police officers, among others, continues to look for more bodies of last Saturday's landslide in Purworejo that killed at least 47 people.

Following the disaster, President Joko Widodo has instructed his ministers and related officials to coordinate to assist the victims of floods and landslides that had struck several regions.

The head of state has ordered the social affairs minister, home affairs minister, and health minister to coordinate with the regional administrations to assist the victims, presidential special staff Johan Budi noted at the presidential palace in Jakarta on Monday.

The president was deeply saddened by the natural disasters that killed and injured several people, particularly the residents in Central Java and West Sumatra.
