Government is asked to supervise the tourism center

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Commission V of the House of Representatives (DPR) asked the police and local government to not only focus of overseeing the smoothness of traffic in the homecoming route, but also to maximize the traffic arrangements on the tourist track.

Deputy Chairman of Commission V of the House of Representatives Yudi Widiana Adia said, the large number of travelers on this year crowded on the tourist spots. It caused severe traffic jam on the tourist track.

"As in previous years, when the Eid holidays, the tourist area routes are having traffic jam like on Puncak area, so traffic management needs to be maximized on the route to the tourist area," said Yudi, on Tuesday, July 21.

 

The routes to favorite tourist areas such as Puncak, Cisarua Bogor, Carita Beach in Banten and a number of other tourist areas experiencing severe traffic jam. The queues of vehicles were also a very long.

The route to Puncak area, on Monday, July 20, had severe traffic jam occurred since early morning. The riders claimed to have been stuck in traffic for hours.
