Jokowi visited Indonesian border with Sarawak

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SANGGAU -- President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo held impromptu visit to Entikong, West Kalimantan on Wednesday, January 21. Entikong is Indonesian border with Sarawak, Malaysia.

The President and First Lady Iriana flew with Super Puma Helicopter from Pontianak. As they arrived, the entourage visited Entikong Cross Border Postal Inspection (PPLB).

His visit is aimed to deliver the commitment to build borders. He promised to build dry port, a warehouse for logistics that will be sent to sea port. He also promised to widen the road connecting Entikong and Malaysia.

Director of Housing Development of Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Hadi Sucahyono, said that government would build three story Indonesian Guest House in Entikong. "We can see that many buildings are damaged," he said.
