REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo will start Trans Sumatera toll road project this year. He ensured that the toll road would be 100-meter-wide. 

"We will build a wide road for Sumatera," Jokowi said during Indonesia Outlook 2015 on Thursday, January 15.

The wide road allows government to build railway in the right side on the road. The left side will be for electricity. "It will be integrated," Jokowi said.

Land procurement will be conducted at the same time. He believed that the procurement would be speed up by conducting that way.

Besides Trans Sumatera, government will build toll road in other islands, namely Sulawesi, Kalimantan and Papua. Government targets the groundbreaking for all projects kicks of this year.
