REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - A member of parliament (MP) saud that Supreme Audit Agency's (BPK's) candidates must have the knowledge and understanding of how to manage and audit the accountability of the state budget.

"Therefore, the track record and competence of candidates for the BPK should be part of the assessment process. It is important because the challenges faced by the BPK are further becoming stronger," Gerindra Faction Leader House of Representatives Djemy Francis Farry. noted on Wednesday.

The Regional Representatives Council (DPD) selected 25 out of the 63 candidates for the BPK. The selection was based on ability, capability, and independence. When asked about Gerindra politician Sadar Subagyo who became a BPK candidate, Farry remarked that Gerinda has offered full support to the member of Commission XI.

"We support Sadar Subagyo because he fulfills the requirements to become a member of the BPK, which has integrity and capability as part of its selection criteria," he affirmed. "Currently, he is a member of Commission XI and the House of Representatives budget, and he has been in the Working Committee and the Regional Financial Center. So, he deserves to be a member of the BPK," he added.
