Police arrests one more pimp in online prostitution

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Luki Hermawan revealed that the police had arrested and determined a suspect in celebrities online prostitution case. The suspect with the initials W was previously included in the wanted lists (DPO).

"Yesterday we have arrested a pimp on the wanted list. So, now there are four pimps as suspects," said Luki at the East Java Regional Police Headquarters, in Surabaya, on Friday (Jan 18).

With the detention of W as a suspect, it means that currently there have been five people named by suspects in the illegitimate practice. They were ES, TN, F, W, and a FTV actress with the initials VA.

Nevertheless, he asserted, that the police would continue to develop the case. Moreover, the celebrities prostitution network was referred to as a large network because each pimps were in charge in marketing their own list of actresses or models.

"Each of the pimps had their own data and we focus on their network. Each of the pimps had their own prostitutes," Luki said.

He also revealed, currently there were still two other pimps who were on the police's suspect list. He also assured, his subordinate would immediately pursue and arrest the two other pimps.

"From the results of the last inspection there were two more suspects," Luki said.
