Five celebrities to be summoned on online prostitution case

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- East Java Police suspected that ES and TN run a large online prostitution ring involving celebrities. Police said FTV actrees VA and adult magazine photo model AS were allegedly only two of hundreds celebrity prostitutes of ES and TN network.

So far, the police has seen a strong indication that five celebrities linked to the two pimps. Those five celebrities will be summoned immediately, a police official said.

"We have evidences that show that actresses ML and RF are under management of ES, while three models with initials AC, TP and BS work for TN," East Java Police Chief Luki Hermawan said on Thursday (Jan 10).

In addition, Director of Special Crime of East Java Regional Police Ahmad Yusep Gunawan revealed that two more people have been named as suspects. They were on the wanted list (DPO) as alleged pimps.

"We already have their identities and will arrest them soon," Yusep said.

Meanwhile, ES and TN claimed to have never asked the celebrities to join their prostitution ring. According to them, those celebrities proposed themselves.

"I did not ask them nor promised them anything, they proposed themselves and I was just a broker," TN said at East Java Police headquarters, Surabaya, Thursday.

Earlier, the police said that 45 actresses and hundreds photo models involved in online prostitution run by ES and TN.  The case was revealed following a tip-off from the public regarding prostitution in Surabaya City. The police conducted one month investigation and monitored various social media platforms before the raid at a hotel on January 5.

VA and a businessman named Rian (R) were arrested during the raid. They both have been released after being questioned as witnesses.

"The clients pay from Rp 20 million to 80 million for a date with a celebrity," East Java Police Department’s Special Criminal Investigation Deputy Director Arman Asmara revealed.
