The two ministers were reported to Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) over one finger pose during 2018 Annual Meeting of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (World Bank) in Nusa Dua, Bali. The national agency to win Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno pair filed the report to Bawaslu on Thursday.

Karding asked the two ministers to be cooperative to follow existing process although they claimed the one-finger pose was a pure joke.

Meanwhile, Karding also stated the need of more massive socialization among state officials. Because, technical matters, related to the rules of the campaign are not necessarily known by officials. He gave an example, he as House of Representatives member had nominated himself as a legislator for five times.

Karding admitted that even so, he still found it difficult to understand the details of the campaign rules both regulated in Law and also General Election Commission (KPU) regulations. The rules were very detailed and specific.

“For example, presidential or vice presidential candidate should use billboard with a certain size, content, and point. Also the amount is also limited, so it’s very complicated for us as politicians,” Karding explained.

However, he stressed the rules have become valid. Karding said all election participants and their supporters must obey the rules.

“Law is made for use to be followed, so it needs to be encouraged, so everyone knows,” Karding added.
